However, after seeing the 2009 schedules for the AFC teams the ability to pick a winner from this conference is once again an almost impossible task.

Which Franchise Has A Favourable Schedule?

The strength of schedule, which is used to indicate how difficult a franchises schedule will be in the upcoming season, suggests that last year's Superbowl Champions the Pittsburgh Steelers have one of the more favourable schedules. They are rated 29th by the strength of schedule.

Certainly compared to last year, when the Steelers had the toughest schedule in the NFL, Mike Tomlin will feel as if his team has a great chance of repeating their 2008 success. By facing the NFC North and AFC West the Steelers will expect to chalk up victories against the Lions, Packers, Chiefs, Raiders and Broncos. Baltimore will challenge in this division again but expect the Steelers to come out on top with their favourable schedule.
