People spend a great deal of time reading about sex, watching videos, listening to sex experts, and visiting websites to learn more and more about sex. There are those who do it for the thrill, visiting mostly porn sites. Others are trying to make themselves better lovers, trying to learn new ways to bring not only themselves pleasure, but their partners as well. Another large group is simply curious about how they measure up to other people.
Is everyone else having more sex than you are? Are they doing things you always wanted to try? Are you adequate physically, do you measure up, so to speak? How much of what you hear from friends, co-workers, and in the media is true, and how much is bravado? Then there are the companies telling you how you can be bigger, last longer, be a better lover. So many sources of information, so much pressure. All you really want to know is are you normal, or at least close to average.
How Often Do People Have Sex
How often the average couple/person has sex is a very tough number to track down. There is always the threat people could exaggerate to make themselves look better. Unfortunately, we can only hope enough people answer surveys honestly to give us a somewhat accurate picture. According to a recent survey in Woman's Day the average person has sex 103 times a year. That is an average of 1.98 times per week. This is slightly lower than other surveys reporting 2.3 times per week, or a more general number of 2 to 3 times per week.
